Why chimney sweep matters
Every fire leaves behind soot and creosote, a tar-like residue that sticks to the inside of the flue. Creosote is flammable, and enough of it can lead to a chimney fire. Even a chimney that hasn't been used in a while can collect leaves, nests and debris that block the smoke from getting out.
In Houston, most families only light the fireplace a handful of times each winter. That makes it easy to forget about until the first cold night. A sweep and inspection in the fall means you can light that first fire without wondering.

How often should you schedule it?
Have your chimney inspected once a year, and swept whenever the inspection shows buildup. Early fall, before the first cold front, is the best time to book in the Houston area.
What we check
- Firebox and smoke chamber
- Damper operation
- Flue liner condition (visible areas)
- Chimney cap and crown
Our chimney sweep process
We look first
We inspect your ducts, dryer vent or chimney and take photos, so you can see what's in there before we start.
We clean it right
Rotary brushes knock the buildup loose and a powerful vacuum pulls it out, from inside the house all the way to the roof.
We show you the results
We walk you through before and after photos and point out anything that needs attention. No pressure, no upsell.
What Houston families say
We work hard to earn every review. Read them on Google, and if we've worked on your home, we'd love to hear how we did.
Our dryer was taking two full cycles. They pulled a huge amount of lint out of the roof vent and showed us the photos. Clothes dry in one cycle again.
Very respectful in our home. Careful with the floors and patient explaining everything. The kids loved watching the big vacuum.
They found a bird nest blocking our dryer vent. Fast, friendly and a fair price. We'll be booking every year.
Chimney Sweep & Inspection FAQ
How often should my chimney be swept?
Get it inspected once a year. If you use your fireplace a lot, or we find buildup during the inspection, it should be swept too.
Is chimney sweeping messy?
We protect the area around the fireplace and use a vacuum to contain soot while we work. We clean up when we're done.
When is the best time to book?
Late summer or early fall, before the first cold front. That's when everyone remembers their fireplace at the same time.
I have a gas fireplace. Does it need attention too?
Gas fireplaces still vent combustion gases, so the vent should be checked. Tell us what kind of fireplace you have when you book and we'll let you know what we can do.
